SINGAPORE, 19 April 2011 – Singapore’s SportsHub has appointed branding agency Sedgwick Richardson to develop the country’s new state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex. The agency, which has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and London, will take responsibility for developing the identity and primary marketing and communications channels for the country’s largest sports infrastructure project to date.
Strategically located on the Singapore waterfront, SportsHub is a state-of-the-art facility that will house five major sports venues; a new 55,000-seat National Stadium with retractable dome; the Aquatic and Leisure water centre; multi-purpose indoor arena; indoor stadium; and water sports centre.
The new complex, which replaces the existing National Stadium will accelerate the development of sports in Singapore and position the country as Asia’s sports and entertainment venue of choice. Now underway, the project is scheduled to open by April 2014.
Sedgwick Richardson has assembled a team of branding, creative and digital experts from its local and international offices to create a compelling brand that appeals to multiple audiences locally, regionally and globally.
