We started by evaluating Pavilion Energy’s existing English site from a content hierarchy, usability and design perspective, identifying opportunities for improvement. The evaluation highlighted the need for a more consistent brand experience and streamlining of content presentation so users could locate information easily.
We focused on building on Pavilion Energy’s established brand colour palette and existing brand principles to create a streamlined website experience that gave appropriate emphasis on the brand whilst ensuring information was presented in an easy to digest format.
Building on the established Pavilion Energy brand, we developed an extended suite of consistent responsive digital components for Pavilion Energy that can be used beyond just this website deliverable. These components ranged from micro components such as button styling to larger components such as sliders and timelines.
Inspired by the Pavilion Energy logo we further defined and developed a graphic style, creating a set of diamond shaped background graphics and accents and stylised iconography to better visualise key pieces of information on a page.
The website was built with subtle animation elements, and interactive accents were designed to be intuitive and help enhance the overall user experience.
The information architecture was also refined further to improve content flow across the website. Relevant content was consolidated to the same page or section, and duplicated content was removed. Key content blocks were designed with an eye to capture the user’s attention.
A fully functional content management system was incorporated to facilitate the management of existing and future content such as media articles. The CMS also includes multi-language capabilities, allowing Pavilion Energy to easily add and manage new languages for the website as the company continues to expands globally.
