Designer
The Role
As a Designer at Sedgwick Richardson, you will adopt a “concept-first” approach, generating innovative ideas that evolve into distinctive brand designs. With strong typography skills, you will craft logotypes in both English and Chinese, while your keen eye for photography and video will enhance your work. Responsibilities
- Creative Development: Generate innovative concepts and fresh ideas. Contribute insights and perspectives during creative meetings. Develop inspiring designs across platforms under the guidance of senior team members.
- Brief & Communication: Proactively clarify briefs by asking questions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of roles, timelines, deliverables, and expectations. Communicate openly with senior colleagues to seek feedback and refine your work. Provide clear rationales for your design choices, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and confidently present your ideas to colleagues and, occasionally, clients.
- Quality Execution: Ensure high-quality, on-brand execution across all platforms, preparing deliverables for management, printers, clients, and developers as needed. Maintain a strong attention to detail, ensuring your work is of the highest quality.
- Team Collaboration and Support: Collaborate effectively with all team members, including management, account managers, production teams, and fellow designers. Support the creation of presentations and marketing materials. Stay informed about design trends and share insights to inspire the studio. Manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities. Maintain accurate timesheets for your work.
- Professional & Personal Standards: Keep your software skills current. Stay professionally ambitious and strive for growth. Remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Add value to designs, earning recognition from the team and clients. Motivate others with your knowledge and innovative approaches while staying abreast of market trends. Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within the SR Group. Maintain an analytical, commercial, and client-focused mindset. Foster productive collaboration across various professional disciplines and cultures. Proactively suggest improvements to workflow and management processes. Developing your proficiency in design tools with a focus on mastering the craft.
About You
- We welcome candidates with 1-3 years of design experience, but if you have less experience or are a fresh graduate, we will consider you for a Junior Designer position.
- Your curiosity and fearlessness will help you thrive in the digital branding landscape. Animations and videos come naturally to you, and your eagerness to learn is evident in every project. Detail-oriented and meticulous, you strive for excellence.
- You will collaborate with senior team members on larger projects and receive guidance on smaller tasks, applying your skills in typography, layout, and illustration. You will contribute to pioneering concepts, improve design processes, and prepare presentation materials. As a next-generation designer, you will inspire colleagues and clients to embrace greater brand purpose.
