Alexander Burdulia

Alex has advised listed companies, investors and start-ups on sustainability and ESG strategy, reporting and frameworks including GRI, the HKEX ESG Reporting Guide, SASB, TCFD and UNPRI. He is experienced in strategy development, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, materiality assessment, rating requirements and reporting in multiple sectors, including real estate and financial services, and is a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and SASB FSA Credential Holder.
A corporate lawyer by trade, Alex has a unique understanding of ESG regulation and governance issues. Prior to SR, he helped develop the ESG product group at a leading global law firm, where he served on the firm’s ESG Steering Committee and advised on ESG regulation and private equity transactions, and covered sustainable finance as the Head of Asia-Pacific Public Policy at Credit Suisse. Alex holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania, a BA from Rutgers University and a Certificate in Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
